The thing our worship team needs most is TIME. Time to practice and learn new songs. We have such diverse schedules that it is often hard to get together. Especially in the summer! The answer of course, is that we ALL need to make worship a priority in our lives. In fact, the more we get away from worship, the harder life gets! Look at how worship energized David - and I'm sure that energy was contagious. When you let God be on the throne, everything else falls into place.

Our biggest need is also time. We write a lot of songs ourselves, we need time to spend together writing. It's OK when we bring our songs that we write individually in for the group to perform, but the best songs that we write come in time we spend together. We could use that time.
Outside of that, we could use some better equipment. We really need some new monitors, a snake and a power amp (We have new mains and a power amp to run them, but the one for the monitors is on it's last leg.)

Where to start...
1. better equipment & qualified personnel to maximize it
2. a volunteer team - all in - who gets it (we currently have an all-pro, paid rhythm section which is a wonderful luxury, but if the money wasn't there, they wouldn't be either)
3. greater time commitment both in group rehearsal and personal rehearsal
4. tech-savvy team of singers - they need to want to "get it" - I need to keep training on this and helping them see the value in it
We are addressing all these items on the list. And actually, the list is much longer. And quite daunting. But we are pressing ahead. Our church is really beginning to worship wholeheartedly. I'm trying to not force us to be what we are not. To really sense God's direction for the team and the church. We want to be authentic and honest. I want to help people best express their hearts in worship whether we have killer equipment or not. If it was all stripped away to just 1 instrument & a handful of singers, it's got to still be ok.

We need a sound team that is just as committed as the worship team. We also need additional worship team members; we have either worshipers with no musical giftings or gifted musicians with no heart for worship.

My biggest need is better players, followed closely by better equipment. We're at a very small church, that leads to a small talent pool and resources. However, God definitely shows up on a weekly basis. I guess better players and equipment are more of a humanly desire than a spiritual one.

I think our ministry's biggest need is to really commit to the Lord with all of our hearts and souls and minds. I think if we got there we would find all the talents being used,we'd find courage to try the scary things, like sing or play...I would just love to see everyone have a deep desire to praise and worship the Lord. On the tech side, and I don't consider it a need per say, I would love to see projectors being used and modern computers/servers...we're getting ready to upgrade there : )

I would like to see more COMMUNITY. Music ministries always seem to be made up of a bunch of people who are spiritually connected to other people in the church but not each other. I think I'm going to start a worship leader's small group.
