A Walk One Winter Night

Jimi Williams —  December 12, 2013

What started as a simple, late night stroll to clear his head from the hassles of the season turned into something that can only be described as…real. The new Christmas story by Al Andrews is a wonderful insight into the real story of Christmas. Beyond the shopping, the ornaments and plastic portrayals of the baby Jesus, Al uncovers the real Jesus, Joseph and Mary behind the facade.

“A Walk One Winter Night” started as an invitation from Dave Barnes for Al to share a Christmas story at Dave’s Christmas concert. There was such an overwhelming response to the story that Worthy Publishing decided to turn it into a book…

Mercy Tree

Jimi Williams —  November 14, 2013

Telling the story of Christ’s death and resurrection is a fundamental part of worship. Yes, we worship our magnificent God and all His attributes. However, the true nature of God, His justice and mercy, is never seen more clearly than through the cross. May we never loose the wonder of the cross and grow weary of telling the wonderful story of how God became a man, died in innocence on a cross for our sins, and rose again to deliver us from the chains of death.

Your Grace Finds Me is the newest song from Matt Redman and on his new album that released today. It is a song that attempts to celebrate the grace of God that we find in all the different scenarios of our life. His utterly constant, helpful, present grace in our lives. He is there in the light of the sunrise and in the newborn cry. You see Him on your wedding day and in the weeping by the graveside. His grace is the same for the rich and the poor, the saint and the sinner.

In the chorus of Your Grace Finds Me it says, “From creation to the cross, from the cross into eternity, Your grace finds me.” It’s there in the darkest nights of the soul and in the sweetest songs of victory.

Oceans by UNITED

Josh Pauley —  September 17, 2013

In ministry, we often find ourselves in a place of wanting to do more for God. That isn’t a bad desire to have, but the truth is, God doesn’t want us to do more for Him, He is actually just looking for more of us, more of our heart. Coincidentally, when God gets more of us He is able to do more through us. One of the lyrics in Oceans by UNITED says, “My faith will be made stronger in the presence of my Savior.” If we are able to wrap our minds around that statement it can completely transform our faith. It becomes about chasing after God and allowing our service to be an outflow of that. Sometimes that simple truth gets lost in the busyness of our roles…

Alive by Young & Free

Josh Pauley —  September 10, 2013

Today we are excited to introduce you to a new worship band from Hillsong! Hillsong Young & Free is simply and genuinely the voice of THIS generation. The NOW generation. Bringing a new sound and giving expression to what God is doing in this generation of young people, seeking to bring a message of life, hope, and freedom found only in Jesus Christ. Young & Free carries the same heart beat as all Hillsong worship teams but seeks to write songs that would specifically connect a YOUNG PERSON to Jesus.

Senior Youth Pastor Laura Toggs writes, “I believe with all my heart that ‘Young and Free’ is not just our name but also our message and our mission. I believe that God is calling this generation to stand strong in their youth and their freedom… and I believe that these songs will see the captives set free. I believe that through this project young people will find life and deep, unending joy – in Jesus…

This I Know by Crowder

Josh Pauley —  August 27, 2013

This I Know is a song of simplicity and “faith like a child.” The hook of the song is taken from the popular song, “Jesus Loves Me,” where we sing, “Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.” It is a great song to use as a reminder that God’s promises are forever and that He is always faithful. But, it’s also a song meant to remind us of the first time we whole-heartedly placed our trust in God and surrendered our lives to Him; all of the joy and peacefulness that came with that moment…
